I think the crazy/crack stories were put out to tarnish Dave so that if he ever did come out with what was the true 'murder', then his claims could be easily brushed off. People have thought that the crack was 'the murder' that hollywood was using to keep dave in line. ![]() After he quit the hollywood media wa quick to put out that he was a crazy crack head. In the story the pimp created a murder to keep the bottom bitch to keep going. But i think people have overlooked the important part of that story. I think Dave is obviously the bottom bitch. This was a surprise, because it's hard to imagine things worse than Sexual assault without going to some dark areas. We should individually reward people who fight these battles, because they take a huge risk for their quality of life, yet their actions make life better for everyone.ĭave sad that whats being dragged out in the open is far from the worst that's happening in hollywood. We watch as the system beats the humanity out of the ones who take a stand, and that makes it pretty damn unlikely to keep happening. Right now we scrutinize whistle blowers, and turn on them when anything bad they've done comes to light. That's why he said we should be setting up crowd funding for people who take a stand for us. We need to help people, even inperfect ones, to be courageous and blow the whistle against oppression when and where it occurs. Only then we can actually understand where things went wrong and rebuild a better system. If we want change we must allow everyone to come forward without fear to tell us what they did, and how they fit into the cogs of the machine. It is the system that must be prosecuted. They realized that people who are incentivised and rewarded for taking part in a corrupt system are not criminals. They ushered in a new era, and did it without it turning into an absolute blood bath, because they realized it was the system that was corrupt, and the system that should be destroyed, not the human lives caught up in it. This leads to him talking about how Nelson Mandela and Desmond Tutu handled the end of apartheid in South Africa. He's illuatrating that there are centuries worth of examples of what works to create lasting change in a corrupt system and what does not. Even then we still got Trump immediately after Obama, so there's still more progress to be made. Chappelle also talks about being a black dude, and how it took four centuries of constant struggle to finally get America to accept black people. ![]() He's showing us an example of the mind games used by pimps and 1%ers to convince us that most of the wealth we create with our bodies and labor shouldn't belong to us, but should be given to our "Pimps" because we need them, Daddy. Chappelle was saying that right now our system is set up for there to be Pimps(who make most of the money) and Bitches(who put out most of the actual effort, and do the labor). That is the most we'll work without breaking, or pushing back. That's why, when talking about "milage on a ho" he mentioned that they do it to us, too. This is the "capatalist manifesto" according to Chappelle, and he was trying to illuminate more than just his personal story. They tried to do like Iceberg, so they could get that extra milage out of their bottom bitch, Dave. They were hoping he'd forget that they were the motherfuckers who ruined him in the first place. Then Pimp ComCen tried to tell him that they could ( run him a bath, give him some pills) make it all better if he just came back and let them. He lost all his industry contacts, rumors were spread of mental instability and him smoking crack. They thought he was reaching the end of his mileage, ( the contract dispute) so they iced his career to make sure he'd have no other opportunities once it was clear he'd leave, ( Ringling Brothers). They were using his body ( creation) to make much more money than they paid him. Chappelle told us the story of Iceberg Slim because at one time Dave was Comedy Centrals bottom bitch. I don't know that my interpretation is perfect, but I think it was an allegory and this is the gist of what Dave was getting at. ![]() ![]() I've seen a lot of people saying that the story he used to wrap up the second part of his most recent Netflix release was confusing, or raised more questions than answers.
